nora currently not available

The availability of the emergency call app nora, which has been offered since September 2021, is temporarily suspended in the app stores.

This was announced by the responsible Business and Coordination Office Emergency App System, located in the Ministry of the Interior of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The reasons for this are new organisational requirements that make a technical revision necessary. After the implementation of these requirements, nora will be fully available again. Information on the availability of the emergency call app in the stores will be provided after completion of the development work.

With the temporary suspension of the download, a new registration is not possible either. However, registered users can still send emergency calls via already installed apps. 

Citizens who have not yet registered for nora are asked to make emergency calls via 110 or 112 or the free-of-charge Tess Relay Services.
